Music in Dramatic Performance

Objective:

Students will gain a better understanding of the role that musical performance plays in a dramatic performance.

Structure:

Act III, scene ii contains a song (lines 63-72). When reading the written text, a song is merely written lyrics on a page. They may not jump out at the reader as something inherently different from the rest of the scene (particularly since the scene is largely written in verse.)
