Objective:
Students will collaborate with peers to explore the panoply of different attitudes different people can have on the same events.
Structure:
Divide the class into groups, clustered according to which character they chose to personify in their essay in the first part of this exercise. They should engaged in a short, directed discussion, sharing what they believe their character's reaction would be to seeing Cal presenting as a man for the first time. They should then work together to combine their writing projects, perhaps each choosing a paragraph from their essay and then melding them together.
