bungle

Botch; mishandle or mismanage responsibilities.

Something that is difficult to penetrate; unknowable, distant and remote.

Officially and legally engaged to performance a service.

morbid

Morose and gloomy with an unusually high attention to darker aspects of any situation.

eavesdropping

Purposefully listening in on a private conversation without permission or recognition by those conversing

omniscience

The state of being all-knowing; the ability to understanding everything.

cultivate

To develop and nurture something with a specific purpose or goal in mind; often used with the context of gardening, the meaning can apply equally to the enrichment of a more abstract objective.
