Objective:
Students will be able to fully articulate nuanced views of North and South presented in the novel, identify the way North and South function as symbols, and trace their development.

Structure:
Create an account on Socrative.com, and send the class the link. When the class has all been added, start a “Short Answer” question that reads, “In the reading for day one, how was the North represented?” Be sure the the “Show Answers” option is toggled on.
