Deeley
A man in his forties and the husband of Kate. Deeley works some kind of job that requires him to travel and leave his wife for indeterminate amounts of time. He is enamoured with Kate and fondly recalls their meeting.
Kate
A woman in her forties and the husband of Deeley. Kate is rather vacant and often silent, allowing the other two characters to dominate conversation. However, they talk largely about her, even competing for her attention and affection.
Anna
A woman in her forties and a mysterious former friend of Kate's from her past who returns for indeterminate reasons. Anna is rather talkative and verbose, often baffling Deeley and invoking moments of nostalgia from Kate to the point of talking as if they are in the past. She now claims to live in Sicily but used to live with Kate and tells stories of their time together.
