Think about the Iago's use of imitation or echoing when he speaks to Othello. How is this changing in Act IV?
In previous acts, Iago often echoed Othello rather than providing him with a direct answer (see, for instance, Act III, Scene iii). As Act IV begins, Othello is echoing Iago, perhaps because he is now more thoroughly under Iago's influence. Repeating Othello's own words back to him has been a subtle way for Iago to make Othello question his own sanity and influence Othello's conclusions.
