Porcelain Metaphors and Similes

Bloody

Voice three recounts, “So the bloody Paki taxi driver drove me all the way to Primrose Hill instead. You’d think that the lot of them should at least speak English or carry an A to Z around with them.” The emblematic ‘ bloody’ underscores the speaker’s dislike for the taxi driver. Evidently, the loathing is ascribed to the driver's inadequate and unimpressive communication skills.

“Cold-blooded shooting”

Voice two recounts, “Eyewitnesses to the crime claimed the suspect was cradling the victim after the cold-blooded shooting.” The allegorical description “cold-blooded" underscores the ruthlessness of the shooting. It is absolutely chilling and heart-wrenching that it cannot be concluded that a human perpetrated it.
