    Kant claims that human beings are drawn naturally to metaphysical thinking. Why do you think philosophy holds such an attraction for people?

    This question may strike some students as odd (especially if they had never previously read a work of philosophy!), and still others may vociferously deny that the works of others by Kant and others could ever be interesting to a large majority of people.
