Shakespeare's Sonnets Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of Shakespeare's sonnets, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments.

Day 1's activities make use of a class blog or class website, which will also be in use for the continuation of the "Translating Shakespeare" activity on Day 2. Day 1 also uses Pinterest, as do activties on Day 3.

On Day 3, students will be listening to contemporary music to discern Shakespeare's influence. They will also be conducting library and internet research.

On Day 4, students may conduct online research on contemporary poetry. Day 5 will see them watching a clip from the 1999...
