Six Shooter Imagery

Six Shooter Imagery

Out of Focus

We see Donnelly waiting for the train. He is in focus and everything else is out of focus. This imagery reveals that he is disconnected from the world after the loss of his wife.

Monkey

We see the Kid dying after being shot by the police. Through the train window we see the broken glass and a stuffed monkey as he topples to the ground riddled with bullet holes. The imagery shows us that he is merely a kid entangled in all of this violence.

Blood

We see Donnelly notice that there is blood on the window by his seat on the train. The imagery shows us that the Woman really did jump from the train and kill herself as part of her body hit against the window.

Jesus

Donnelly puts the picture of Jesus in his home face down before he attempts to shoot himself. The imagery shows that there is a reverence that has been there his whole life that is hard to simply walk away from. He feels the presence of the eyes of Jesus on him in this moment he knows is wrong and he can't bare the eyes upon him any longer.
