Why and where does Swami unexpectedly run into the coachman's son again? What does this scene tell us about Swami's changing relationship with his father?

Swami is at the club with his father, happy to have the honor of an invitation and enjoying watching his father play tennis. But one of the small boys working at the club is the coachman's son! The boy notices Swami at the same moment. He pulls out his pocket knife and waves it maliciously at Swami.

Swami spends the rest of his time at the club in a state of heightened emotions, watching his back for the coachman's son and the gang Swami assumes he is a part of. It is not until Swami and his father are driving away...
