It's good for national privacy & security purposes, like if a person is planning to do some unlawful act in the country, then the government can restrict/warn or arrest that person by the use of some latest technology. But on the other hand it is also unethical to monitor every citizen every time, because every citizen/civilian has a right to live his life privately instead of being watched or under surveillance.
