Using order of operations, we are able to determine whether (3+7) + m is equal to m +10. (3+7) + m = m +10. The first thing you want to do to to the equation is to add the 3 and 7 together inside the parenthesis. This gives: m+10 = m+10. We see that the two expressions are equal.
