Answer

The factors of $10$ are: $1 , 2 , 5 , $ and $10 $

Work Step by Step

Generally, factors of a whole number $z$ are whole numbers that we multiply together to get $z$. To find the factors of $10$, we must find all the whole numbers whose product is $10$. To do so follow these steps: 1) Start with $1$ you have $ 1 \times 10 = 10 $ so $1, 10$ are factors. 2) Now try $2$, we have $2 \times 5 = 10 $, so $2, 5$ are also factors . 3) Try $3$, $3$ is not a factor and neither is $4$. Since there are no whole numbers between 3 and 4 we are done! Therefore the factors of $10$ are $ 1, 2,5$ and $10 $.
