Answer

The factors of 10 are : $1 , 2 , 5 , $ and $10 $

Work Step by Step

Generally , factors of a number $z$ are whole numbers that we multiply together to get $z$ . To find the factors of 10 , we must find all the whole numbers whose product is $10$ . To do so follow these steps : 1) Start with $1$ you have $ 1 \times 10 = 10 $ so $1 , 10$ are factors . 2) Now try $2$ , we have $2 \times 5 = 10 $ , so $2 , 5$ are also factors . 3) Try $3$ , $3$ is not a factor and so is $4$. Since there are no whole numbers between 3 and 4 so we are done ! Therefore the factors of 10 are $ 1 , 2 , 5 ,$ and $10 $
