A dot plot represents continuous and quantitative data plotted on a simple scale. A dot plot is constructed in Minitab and the steps are as follows:
Step 1: Enter the data of the gender and ideal number of children in worksheet under C1 and C2 column.
Step 2: Go to Graph menu in the menu bar and select dot plot, then choose “with groups” dot plot.
Step 3: A new dialog box is created of the dot plot.Put ideal number of children under graph variables and gender under categorical variable. Finally click ok.
