Most of the cells of the pancreatic acini (%) secrete an exocrine hormone , that is pancreatic juice , a digestive enzyme/hormone. This juice is delivered directly to the digestive system by the pancreatic duct(s). The other 1% of the acini cells secrete glucagon, insulin, somatostatin, and pancreatic polypeptide.
