The salivary glands secrete saliva which has carbohydrate digesting enzymes; the stomach secretes gastric juice which digests proteins; the pancreas secretes pancreatic juice which has enzymes for digesting proteins, fats and carbohydrates. The small intestines do most of the work of absorption but the intestinal juice also produce enzymes that digest fats proteins and carbohydrates. The tongue secretes lingual lipase which aids in fat digestion.
