Acid rains disturb the pH of the water and make it more acidic. It also leaches aluminum from the soil, which is mixed in water. Some of the aquatic life, especially younger ones, have a low tolerance for pH change and hence they are adversely effected. Moreover, if pH becomes lower than 5, most of the fish can't hatch eggs. If pH become lower than 4, most of the aquatic life would die.
