Bacterial vaginosis is a vaginal disease that occurs when the normal flora of vagina consisting of lactobacilli is replaced with a large number of bacteria like Gardnerella vaginalis and Mycoplasma hominis. 50% of the woman are asymptomatic while the rest might complain of symptoms such as grey vaginal discharge with fishy odor.
