Three structural isomers are possible having molecular formula $C_{3}H_{5}Cl$ which are: 1-chloro-1-propene, 2-chloro-1-propene and 3-chloro-1-propene of which 1-chloro-1-propene exhibits cis-trans isomerism. All structural isomers are written below. Draw 3 C in straight chain. Add double bond in between C1 and C2 carbon. Place a 'Cl' atom on C1 position and remaining valency of C atoms is filled with H. we get 1-chloro-1-propene. Similarly, Draw 3 C in straight chain. Add double bond in between C1 and C2 carbon. Place a 'Cl' atom on C2 position and remaining valency of C atoms is filled with H. we get 2-chloro-1-propene. Again, Draw 3 C in straight chain. Add double bond in between C1 and C2 carbon. Place a 'Cl' atom on C3 position and remaining valency of C atoms is filled with H. we get 3-chloro-1-propene. To write cis trans isomers of 1-chloro-1-propene we have to write two H atoms associated with two double bonded C atoms on the same side (cis) or opposite side (trans).
