To find out the hybridization of N atom, we have to count the no. of sigma bond and lone pair attached with the N atom. total no. = 4 means $sp^{3}$, 3 means $sp^{2}$ and 2 means $sp$. Single bond means sigma bond. Double bond has one sigma and one pi bond. a) Minoxidil would be more soluble in basic aqueous solution. This is because N atoms present in the molecule in the form of $-NH_{2}$ which has lone pair in it.
