Throughout the study of The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments.
In the Day #1 activity "Learn More About the Spokane People," students use the internet to gather information about the Spokane tribe. Students may also use multimedia to present their material to the class. Students will use the internet for research again in the activity "Learn More about Sherman Alexie."
In the Day #3 activity "Expressing Yourself Through Cartoons," students may wish to use a computer graphics program rather than hand-drawing their cartoons.
