Objective:

Students will watch and respond to a stage or film production of the play.

Structure:

For this activity, students will find and select select an adaptation of The Alchemist and watch or read it in groups of three or four apiece. After they have had time to do so, groups will fill out a worksheet that compares the play with the adapted version that they watched.

After this, students will prepare a presentation to show their findings, which they will deliver in front of the class. This should specific examples that demonstrate the differences between the two works. Groups...
