Why was Hoth a good planet for the Rebels to set up base on?
Hoth was a good planet for the Rebel Alliance to set up a base on because of two primary reasons: its incredibly cold and harsh weather, weather which would throw the Imperials off their scent. Also, the location is optimal because of how desolate and remote the planet is in the solar system. The Imperials, in other words, would never suspect the Rebels to be on a planet with horrible weather and a planet which is so far away from any other meaningful system.

One of the greatest enigmas in the Star Wars series is Yoda's age. Specifically: how could Yoda live so long? While viewers will likely never know why Yoda has survived so long, it's clear that memebrs of his species has exorbitantly long lifespans, during which members of the species age extremely slowly.

Why is the revelation that Luke is Darth Vader's son so important?
In what is one of the most genuinely shocking moments in film history, Darth Vader reveals to the Luke that he is his father. This revelation is important for two reasons: firstly, it ends any possibility of a relationship between Leia and Luke developing. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, it allows Luke to exploit Darth Vader's emotions to get close to the Emperor so that he could, alongside his father, kill him and end the Empire's evil reign once and for all.
