Do you think Starr is brave? Why or why not?

Starr doesn't feel brave. She feels afraid. She doesn't want to testify in front of the grand jury after the drive-by because she knows it's a warning from King and she's scared. But even though it is hard, even though she is scared, Starr stands up for what is right. There's nothing wrong with being afraid of things; sometimes it's smart to be afraid. It would have been stupid for Starr to be so not afraid of King she went over to his house to hang out with Kenya. Fear is right in some situations. But that doesn't mean it should hold us back, especially when it comes to doing what's right.
