    Why doesn’t Singer send any of the letters he writes to Antonapoulos?

    Singer considers Antonapoulos his only true friend, the only other person to whom he can freely express himself because of their shared experience with deafness; however, Antonapoulos can’t read. The letters give Singer an outlet to articulate his thoughts and feelings in a way he simply can’t with the four people who visit him regularly.
