How do the narrators differ? How does having different narrators help the story?
Aibileen and Minny are black maids, while Skeeter is a young, wealthy white woman. Where Aibileen is gentle and calm, Minny is loud and abrasive. Skeeter is straightforward, but naive about the world outside her immediate experiences.
Different narrators obviously give us different points of view. They provide more perspective so we can better understand events. It's easy to agree with a narrator if you only see things from their point of view. Having more than one allows readers to get a more well-rounded perspective and think more critically about the book.
