Rethinking Re-Entry

Students will reflect on the process of re-entry for the formerly incarcerated.

Structure:
Students will gain a deeper understanding about re-entry and the many barriers the formerly incarcerated are confronted with while trying to acclimate back into society.
1. Introduce students to the term "re-entry" specifically its relation to the formerly incarcerated population. Explain to them that re-entry is the process in which the formerly incarcerated undergo in order to acclimate back into society. (10 minutes)
