Objective:

Students will research the term Anishinaabe and summarize their findings to provide context and insight into the novel.

Structure:

Break students into small groups and have them use the internet to research the term Anishinaabe. Remind them to use reliable sources of information only. Some of the questions they should keep in mind when doing their research are:

- What does Anishinaabe mean?
- Which tribes are included?
- What language(s) do they speak?
- What is their history, before and related to...
