The Midnight Library Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of The Midnight Library, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, text-to-speech software for reading assignments, and any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

Day 1: For the blogs, students will need ongoing internet and computer/tablet access daily for their blog entries. In 'Story Shapes', computer and internet access are required as well as a projector.

Day 2: Students will need access to a computer/tablet to create two identity charts. For the second activity, students will possibly want to save their chosen songs onto a tablet or music player to be played in class.
