Why does Antonio ask Belvile to take his place in the fight?
First, because he thinks Belvile might be an honorable man and doesn't seem to want him imprisoned or executed; second, because he imagines Belvile is a good fighter (based on the fact that he thinks he fought with him the previous night) and, since the injured Antonio can no longer fight, he imagines he will kill two birds with one stone by having Belvile take his place in the fight with his rival (whom he does not know is his friend Pedro).
