Jason's straightforward narrative reveals his single-mindedness. He is more confident in his position than the others, especially in relation to the women in his life. Without doubt, Jason is less likely to dwell on the past. He does have flashbacks. But unlike the others, those flashbacks do not get conflated with the present. Jason believes that the past is behind him, refusing to acknowledge any relationship between it and the present.
