    Consider Jagan’s remark about how the ancient Indian poets didn’t need to travel to Germany or America. Is travel unnecessary or invaluable for art, in your opinion?

    For most students, the answer to this question won't be quite so black-and-white. In principle, it is certainly possible for a person to never leave their hometown or home country and yet still produce a great work of art. However, it is also undeniably true that travel tends to broaden one's horizons. Travel for Mali could therefore be a good thing, although Jagan may not be able to understand how or in what way.
