Students will write imitations of Larkin's poems to better understand his poetic choices and thematic concerns.

Structure:
This is part one of a multi-day activity. Over the course of the week, students will choose one poem from each day's assignment to imitate in a pastiche. Each day will focus on a different poetic technique or feature, inspired by the poems.
