In the book Three Women, we are told a story about the lives and sexual desires of three different women. The first is a mother of two kids who has a husband that no longer shows her affection. The second is a seventeen year old teen who gets involved with her teacher who is already married. The third woman is an owner of a restaurant who is married to a man that desires her to lay with other people while he watches.
The first of the three, Lina, is in a marriage were the passion is gone. Lina longs for affection and gets none of it from her husband. This results in panic attacks and an affair that grips hold of her completely.
The second of the three, Maggie, is seventeen years old and in high school. She finds her English teacher to be very attractive and it their relationship evolves beyond what is appropriate since he is almost 30 and married. We get to know how Maggie’s life is five years after her last year of high school, and all the problems she faces.
The third woman is named Sloane. Sloane is beautiful and successful but married to a man with strange kinks. Their intimate relationship is unnatural and Sloane struggles with her own desires compared with her husband's needs.
