Structure:

Introduce students to the unit by explaining that they will read several short stories by acclaimed author Ursula K. Le Guin. Let them know that all the stories fall into the science fiction/fantasy genre. Then, instruct students to do a 5 minute free write in which they write as much as they know or think about Le Guin and the science fiction/fantasy genre.
