How has Odets made it clear that Fatt isn't to be trusted?
Despite being head of the cabbie union, Fatt is quite adamant about not striking. Even though he's a cab driver himself, Odets makes it clear that he does not have his colleagues' best interests at heart. Begin by asking students which other character has a name most similar to Fatt's: Fayette, who also happens to be the most openly antagonistic character in the play. This is a subtle hint that we're meant to equate the two in our minds.
