What happens between Josiah and Christopher Unwin? How does this affect Anna's relationship with her father?

Anna and Elinor had been tending to Christopher Unwin. There were signs that he might be the second villager to survive the Plague when word reached them that he felt himself taking a turn for the worse and wanted the rector for last rites. Anna and Michael arrive to find Josiah digging a grave in the Unwin's field. Anna realizes that her father's digging has caused Christopher to feel that his state has worsened, even though he looks much improved. Anna is humiliated and angry and Michael fights Josiah off.
