    The Novel Versus the Movie

    Individual Writing

    Objective:

    Students will write essays that analyze how the film adaptation strays from the novel, and how that change alters a theme in the book.

    Structure:

    After they've finished reading the book, students will watch the 2015 film adaptation of Z for Zachariah. Instruct them to take careful notes while watching the movie, jotting down important differences from the book.
