How does the story end, and why might it have ended this way?
The story ends with Raven, Cholmondeley/Davis, and Davis' boss dead. They were all the people that were willing to kill, had killed and was killing for money. They all valued profit over human lives, yet were they ones that ended up dead. Reading between the lines might show the reader that human lives might actually be with more money than could be found anywhere in the world.
