    How and when did Nwaka speak out against Ulu? Why does Nwaka hold such contempt for Ezeulu? Why is this animosity significant within the context of the broader narrative?

    When Nwaka held his secret meeting about going to war with Okperi, he offended Ulu not once, but twice. First, he made sure that no man from Ezeulu's village, Umuachala, was allowed in the meeting. Nwaka makes it clear he does not trust the Chief Priest—he finds him too ambitious and conceited. Second, he reminds all the attendees about the failed deity in Aninta and how they dealt with it—by carrying him to the boundary of their village and setting him on fire.
