Mr. Wright is building a road between Okperi and Umuaro. Umuaro has sent two different age groups to help work on the road as free labor. The day after the festival, Obika shows up to work late due to his hangover. Unfortunately, Mr. Wright is in no mood for games and is furious as Obika peacocks about, distracting and slowing the workers. In anger, he lashes out his whip at Obika, catching him on his ear.
