Students will be able to understand the dialogue that Kane's play creates with other important works of theater

Structure:
Students should have read either a scene from William Shakespeare's King Lear or a scene from Sophocles's Oedipus Rex the previous night. Ask the group that read each to summarize their scene for the other group, and then consider what these scenes of blinding have in common with Scene 3 in Blasted.
