Character Analysis

Group Work
Objective:
Students will use textual evidence to create a character analysis and explain how their character helps to convey one of the themes from the novel.
Structure:
Have the students identify all the main characters and make a list together on the board. Individually assign the students a character to analyze. The students should consider the characters' lives, physical descriptions, socioeconomic class, beliefs, positive/negative qualities, their relationships with other major characters, and their response to the death foretold.
