When the Muslim mob comes to the Sethi house, Imam Din lies and says that Ayah fled to Amritsar the day before. Ice-candy-man makes his way through the crowd and goes over to Lenny. He tells her that he knows Ayah is still in Lahore and promises to protect her with his life, asking where she is hidden.
