Long-term Project

Objective:

Students will creatively engage with the text in order to open themselves up to understanding the two principal characters.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.3 ; CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.3

Structure:

The students will create a blog that they work on over the next few days. Tumblr and Wordpress are two free platforms that would support this exercise well.

Day 1's exercise is divided into two sections. The first half is a free writing exercise, which all students should do quietly at their desks on tablets or computers. The second half is a discussion.
