What could have happened if Malala had returned to Pakistan as soon as possible?

It's clear that Malala loves her home and longs to return. However, she is also smart enough to understand the political reality that has been thrust upon her. Malala is far from a universally beloved figure in her own country, with some believing her to be a fraud. As such the prospect of actually going back to Pakistan right after her attack confronts the unfortunate reality that she will bring a great deal of controversy back with her.

It's entirely possible that another attempt would be made on her life, or on the lives of anyone in her family. The Taliban have shown they are not above...
