Structure:

For this activity, students will write a short scene that takes place after the events of I Will Marry When I Want. Students can take their narrative in a number of different directions: at the end of the play, Kĩgũũnda is in a bad way, and his family is in dire straits. However, it still ends on a somewhat optimistic note, as the family acknowledges who their true enemy is, and they agree to come together under the banner of socialism to better the lives of themselves and all Kenyans.
