    To understand the connection between the author and the novel

    Structure:

    Much of One Hundred Years of Solitude is inspired by Gabriel García Márquez’s life. For instance, he lived near a banana plantation where the workers were slaughtered after going on strike. In this activity, students will come up with questions they would have wanted to ask García Márquez and then seek out the answers.
