Structure:

For this assignment, the students will create contemporary "news reports" about the Anglo-Irish or the Irish Civil War, based on Yeats' poems, as well as outside research.

For the first 15 minutes, the students can research the topic online.

Then, in 15-20 they will create a newspaper-style short article, headline and all, reporting on the progress of the war. They should make sure to draw from Yeats as well as their research.
